ABOUT US
Rotex 5190 is a social and service club for alumni of the Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) program. We seek to support the RYE program as alumni, to represent our host countries post-exchange, and to support one another through shared experiences.
District 5190
Rotary International is a worldwide organization and divides its more than 45,000 clubs into districts for governance purposes. Our Rotex Club is located in District 5190, which includes almost all of Northern Nevada and a large portion of Northeast California.
About RYE
Rotary Youth Exchange Seeks to Promote World Peace
Students between the ages of 15 and 18 participate and short and long term exchanges. The short term program matches each participant with a participant in another country. The pair spends a few weeks with in one country with that partner's family, and then they switch and spend a few weeks in the other country. For the long term program, the participant spends a year attending school in their host country and living with local host families.
